Transnautica is a 100 % black empowerment company, which started its operation in 2006. Its main focus is on heavy and light commercial trucking. The company owns a fleet of 10 horses and 15 trailers and operates a fleet of 30 trucks which include owner drivers and sub-contractors. Transnautica envisage a growth in its fleet thereby creating more jobs within the community we serve. At the same time we are empowering other black-owned transport companies within the same transport sector (owner drivers).
The company aims to provide its clients with a first-rate professional service in a very competitive manner.

Warehouse
Transnautica is based in Pinetown, Durban. This property was acquired by the company in May 2011 and will assist in attaining our long- and short-term goals. The property has 2 x 1000 m2 warehouses and 36000 m2 vacant land which have plans to develop to accommodate a new truck parking area, wash bay, a container park and expand our warehouses.
Maintenance
Transnautica maintain their equipment and fleet on site except for vehicles on maintenance contracts. We service all our vehicles on 20 000 kilometre intervals for long distances and 10000 kilometre intervals for locals.
Health & Safety
Effectively managing health and safety in the workplace relies on assurance, discussion, and support. Everyone in the workplace needs to recognise the need for health and safety, what their role is in making the workplace safer, and how they can fulfill their responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Transnautica is dedicated to continuously progress the workplace in terms of health and safety of employees.
The Occupational Health and Safety Act provides a structure for discussion between management and employees on health and safety.
